We hope you enjoy this film – it truly captures what Eco Moyo is all about.

Wander Desk, a marketing and media agency run by our friends Filipa and Pierre, first visited Eco Moyo two years ago, and they loved it. We were so happy to welcome them back – this time to document the story of Eco Moyo through their cameras. “As we drive in land, through the dust terracotta road, we are warmly greeted by each of the (very) few people we cross. We feel welcome.

We come here to shoot content for the school and learn more about this project. The afternoon is a bit cloudy, but it’s not a problem for our cameras, as the bright colours on the kids uniforms and classrooms makes a show on our lenses.

At lunch time, I ask a small girl if I can try her ‘githeri’, a Kenyan one-pot meal consisting of beans and maize. Smells amazing.

There’s something about Eco Moyo that is fundamentally good. You feel it in the kids, in the teachers, in the surroundings. There’s no crying, there’s no screaming. The children are relaxed, happy. They are eager to learn. You see them sharing everything with each other, behaviour grounded in the prime education they are having.”
