Earlier this spring, the 120 Hours competition teamed up with AUG Norge (Architects Without Boarders – Norway) and Eco Moyo Education Centre to redevelop the schools sports area.

The winning design by Hyungdoo Youn was named “The Cycle of Life”. In a very unique way this project gathered all the functions of the sports area along a circular bridge-like building - which allowed for various functions to be injected into the proposal and it to adapt in a varied way to the different functions on this to be developed piece of land.
Youn's design was readapted by the 120 hours team to be implemented at the schools sports area. With time it became clear to the team that the “Cycle of Life” would impact the site by removing too much vegetation. Therefore the team opted for using the circle to connect various elements like playgrounds, a multi purpose hall and the pavilion along side it.
