The multipurpose hall aims to provide a haven for students to partake in sports and other activities, shielding them from rain during wet seasons and the sun's intense heat in hotter months. At Eco Moyo, sports play a vital role, nurturing teamwork and personal growth. Not to mention the sheer joy and absolute happiness it brings to everyone involved. Our goal is to enrich these opportunities even further.

In the latter part of 2022, two engineering students, Marie Eggen Norløff and Veronika Nyhus, embarked on a mission. Their objective was to create a flexible multipurpose hall, a space for sports, community gatherings, and student assemblies during rainy periods. This project constitutes their master's thesis at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and is a collaboration facilitated by Engineers Without Borders Norway, through their "Meaningful Masters" program.

The design integrates rainwater harvesting systems and solar energy generation. Architect and Eco Moyo board member, Jan Godzimirski, has joined forces with the students to fine-tune the design, leveraging his extensive knowledge of local conditions and craftsmanship.

We're excited to share that we've recently completed our brand-new sports area, featuring a new soccer field, volleyball court, pavilion, changing rooms, and a wide array of playground equipment and parkour facilities. This addition has not only drawn children from our own village but also from neighbouring areas. We're now proudly hosting frequent sports tournaments for nearby schools. In a region where many youths often lack engaging activities, these initiatives are uniting the entire community and creating a wonderful sense of togetherness. It's truly a magical transformation.
